40 Day Journey Day 1 It All Starts with God

It has been quite a while since I have decided to post anything ,but I have entered into another stage in life so I'm doing a 40 Day devotion. The devotion book is titled "The Purpose Driven Life" By Rick Warren which is written to help people understand their reason for living. It's been a long time since I've revisited square one and gone back to the truth of how pointless life would be without God. In this past year, I have made mistakes and experienced God's magnificent power. I may have forgotten that "He" is the reason I have grown and been transformed numerous times after Teens Conference 2008. And so I thank God once again for the amazing gifts and talents that "He" has given me. However, I do sometimes wonder what my purpose is in life because in everything I proceed to do, I'd like to know as many details before going into anything. This first day in particular begins with going back and bringing back everything to him and remembering that "It's not about me". "He is our creator and in Jeremiah 1:5(NIV) it says 5 "Before I formed you in the womb I knew [a] you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations." I often forget that "He" designed us and I can only find my purpose in life in "Him". Next, the question that is asked to challenge me is "In spite of all the advertising around me, how can I remind myself that life is really about living for God, not myself?". Personally, I look back at all I've been given by God and what my life was like before I truly accepted him. This first chapter has revealed and reminded me of the need to draw close to God now more than ever to find my life's purpose in "Him"

In Christ,
